The Digital Calculator That Is Always With You

No need to reach for your phone or a desk calculator. This online calculator lets you quickly perform basic operations — addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage calculations. Works with both mouse and keyboard. Supports decimal notation and shows a live calculation history on screen.

How to Use

Basic Operations

  • AC — clears all and starts from zero
  • +/− — toggles the sign of the displayed number (positive ↔ negative)
  • % — converts the number to a percentage (e.g. 25 → 0.25); used mid-operation it calculates a proportional amount
  • ÷ × − + — four basic arithmetic operators
  • = — calculates the result and updates the display

Keyboard Shortcuts

Enter or =Calculate result
EscapeClear (AC)
BackspaceDelete last character
%Percentage

How Does Percentage Work?

Standalone percentage: press 50 % → 0.5
Mid-operation percentage: 200 + 15 % → adds 15% of 200 (30) = 230
This behaviour matches the percentage logic on standard iOS/Android calculators.

How to Read the Display

The display shows two lines. The top line shows the running calculation history in small text (e.g. "1,500 ×"). The bottom line shows the active number in large text. Decimal numbers are displayed with a period as the decimal separator (e.g. 1,234.56).

Usage Tips

  1. If you make a mistake in a long calculation, use Backspace to delete the last digit instead of clearing everything.
  2. For chained operations, press the next operator directly instead of "=" — the previous result carries over.
  3. If a division by zero occurs, the display shows Error; press AC to clear.
  4. A maximum of 12 digits is supported; longer inputs are not accepted.
